A: If I had to put myself into a denominational box, I’d probably have to call myself a non-denominational Christ-following ecumenical who tries to practice Quaker simplicity and silence, Catholic activism, Pentecostal passion, Evangelical outreach, Mennonite peacemaking and hospitality, Orthodox belief, Southern Baptist potluckness, Brethren community, and Ignatian discipline.

Q: Who are your favourite authors?
A: Mark Buchanan’s writing is stunning. Mark Batterson is a great storyteller. Shane Claiborne messes me up. Randy Alcorn lives his work. Dead people? I really dig Aurelias, Seneca, Thoreau, Franklin, and Gracian.  Biblical?  Easily Solomon, then James and Mark.  Dahl, Korman, and Dixon were my childhood favourites.
